After Eighteen Months of Hearings, Howell Approves Millpond Boardwalk Project

The east bank of the Howell Millpond, photographed Sunday evening. The new boardwalk would run from Thompson Lake Road to the existing fishing pier.

A 5-2 council vote ends one of the longest-running zoning debates in recent county memory. Construction is set to begin in late June, with the first segment open by Labor Day. Opponents say they aren't done yet.
